1. Acceptance
By installing or using Translatify, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the extension.
2. What Translatify Is
Translatify is a free, open-source browser extension designed as a personal language accessibility tool. It helps users understand lyrics displayed in the Spotify Web Player by translating them into their preferred language in real time.
3. No Affiliation
Translatify is an independent project. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to Spotify AB, Google LLC, or any lyrics rights holder. "Spotify" is a trademark of Spotify AB.
4. Your Responsibilities
By using Translatify, you acknowledge and agree that:
- Spotify Terms of Service: You are responsible for your own compliance with Spotify's Terms of Service. Translatify modifies the visual presentation of the Spotify Web Player for your personal viewing. The developer makes no representation that this is permitted under Spotify's ToS, and accepts no liability for any consequences to your Spotify account.
- Translation API Terms: You are responsible for complying with the Terms of Service of any translation provider you use and for any costs incurred by your API usage.
- Personal Use Only: Translatify is intended solely for personal, non-commercial use. You agree not to use it to collect, redistribute, or commercially exploit lyrics content.
- No Redistribution of Lyrics: You agree not to use Translatify to systematically extract, store, or redistribute lyrics content.
5. Intellectual Property
Translatify does not claim any rights over lyrics content. Lyrics are the intellectual property of their respective authors, composers, and publishers. Translatify merely assists users in reading content already licensed and displayed to them by Spotify.
The Translatify extension code is freely available at github.com/Slyfti/translatify.
6. No Warranty
Translatify is provided "as is", without warranty of any kind. The developer does not guarantee:
- Continued compatibility with the Spotify Web Player
- Accuracy of translations
- Uninterrupted availability
7. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the developer of Translatify shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the extension, including but not limited to:
- Changes to your Spotify account status
- Costs incurred from third-party API usage
- Inaccurate translations
8. Changes
These terms may be updated at any time. Continued use of the extension after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
